Image Header: Land Use Fact
The population of Lansing is approximately 119,128. Located in Mid-Michigan, Lansing is primarily in Ingham County, but extends into Eaton and Clinton Counties. It is not only Michigan's capital, it is a hub of educational and governmental institutions (such as Michigan State University (MSU), Cooley Law College, and Lansing Community College). Lansing is also the only state capital city in the U.S. that intersects three counties.
