LPI Authors Three Articles on Entrepreneurship, Featured in July Issue of Michigan Township News

The July issue of the Michigan Townships Association news focused on People and Land's sixth Pillar of Prosperity: inclusive and entrepreneurial culture. The issue featured three articles on this pillar by Land Policy Institute scholars:

• "Entrepreneurship and Place in American Communities" by Yohannes Hailu, Associate Director of Land Policy Research at LPI.
• "Viewing Entrepreneurial Development as an Infrastructure Need in the New Economy" by Soji Adelaja, John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor in Land Policy and Director of LPI.
• "Growing Entrepreneurial Communities," by Barb Fails, Associate Director of Entrepreneurial Communities at LPI.

The first article addresses the role that entrepreneurs can play in strengthening the national economy, as well as Michigan's. The second article focuses on entrepreneurial development as an essential infrastructure need in the New Economy. The final article describes the vision of entrepreneurial communities and includes guidelines to foster entrepreneurship in economic development. The articles have already spurred one local community to work with LPI to create an entrepreneurial community.
